HEALTH & HEALING GUIDE

The basics you need to know

Light Bleeding

Light Bleeding

You lose health slowly. Use a simple to stop the bleeding.

Heavy Bleeding

Heavy Bleeding

Very dangerous! You lose health rapidly and leave a blood trail on the ground. Use a .

Fracture

Fractured Limbs

A fractured leg slows you down. A fractured arm impairs aiming and item use. Use a to treat the fracture.

Pain

Pain Effect

Your screen becomes blurry and your character groans. help you ignore this.

HEALING SYSTEM: PRIORITY & MANUAL USE

  • Important: items in your backpack cannot be assigned to hotkeys; move them to your rig or pockets first. CMS and Surv12 can also be bound while equipped in a compatible special slot.
  • Hotkey: If you place a medical kit on your hotbar (e.g., key 4) and use it, the game automatically prioritizes the most severe injury first (Heavy Bleeding > Light Bleeding > Lowest HP body parts).
  • Surgical kit hotkey: With CMS or Surv12 in a special slot, drag the kit to an empty hotkey slot, or hover over it and press an unused key from 4 to 9.
  • Drag & Drop: You can open your inventory and drag the medkit or bandage directly to the specific body part you want to heal (e.g., ensuring your Thorax is healed before an arm).
  • Interrupting an action: some healing and surgery animations can be interrupted before they finish with an action input, such as firing or aiming; the cancellation is not instant. Some HP may be restored before the interruption. Bleeding or fractures are treated, and surgery restores the limb, only if the use completes. Canceling surgery too early may consume a use without restoring the limb. Do this only in an emergency.

Dealing with Bleedings

LIGHT BLEEDING

SLOW HP DRAIN

Occurs when you take a grazing shot or cut. It is not desperate, but you need a or a medical kit to stop it.

HEAVY BLEEDING

RAPID HP DRAIN

Heavy bleeding drains health quickly and can kill you. Use a (Esmarch or CALOK-B) to stop it in time.

Fresh Wound

FRESH WOUND

After treating a heavy bleed, the wound remains "fresh" for up to 8 minutes. Major damage can reopen it; sprinting or jumping may cause light bleeding. Avoid exertion until it heals.

Fractured Limbs

What happens when fractured?

  • Legs: Each fracture reduces movement speed by 45% and lowers jump height. You cannot sprint without painkillers; sprinting while affected damages the leg.
  • Arms: Aim sways and actions such as using items, searching, reloading, and swapping weapons become slower.
  • Warning: Painkillers let you sprint with a fractured leg, but sprinting causes additional damage to it. They do not heal the fracture.
Fracture

How to fix?

You need to use a . Painkillers only help you ignore the issue for a short time, but they do not heal the fracture.

When everything starts to hurt

Pain and tremor are different effects. Pain impairs vision and, if untreated, can also cause hand tremors. Recognize the icon and find cover before using medication.

Pain icon

BLURRY SCREEN

Pain causes pulsating blur around the edges of the screen, making threats harder to spot during combat. It lasts until the cause is treated or pain is suppressed.

Hand tremor icon

TREMBLING HANDS

Your hands shake and aiming becomes less stable. Tremor can start after 45 seconds of untreated pain or as a side effect of certain stimulants and provisions. Check its cause before consuming another item.

How to respond

  1. Find cover

Leave the line of fire. Using medication takes time and leaves you vulnerable.

  2. Relieve the pain

Use to temporarily suppress pain. Duration and side effects depend on the item.

  3. Treat the cause

If a limb is fractured, use a . Also treat bleeding and other effects that are causing pain.

Painkillers do not heal fractures or stop bleeding. They let you sprint with a fractured leg, but sprinting still damages the leg.

Status effects, buffs & debuffs

STATUS REFERENCE

Not every effect appears as a health bar. Some drain energy, impair vision or hearing, or change movement. Learn what each sign means and what to prioritize.

Drains 1.53 HP from each functioning body part every 4 seconds, uses 6 Energy per minute, and leaves blood trails.

DURATION

Until treated

TRIGGER

Primarily bullets.

WHAT TO DO

Stop it first with a tourniquet, CALOK-B, or a medkit that treats heavy bleeding.

03

Fresh wound

Fresh wound icon

Replaces treated heavy bleeding; major damage can reopen it, while sprinting or jumping may cause light bleeding.

DURATION

Up to 8 minutes

TRIGGER

After treating heavy bleeding.

WHAT TO DO

Avoid sprinting and jumping; seek cover if it reopens.

04

Fracture

Fracture icon

A leg fracture reduces movement speed by 45% per leg and lowers jump height; an arm fracture slows item use, searching, aiming, weapon swaps, and reloads.

DURATION

Until treated

TRIGGER

Falls, bullets, melee attacks, and failing the Gym event.

WHAT TO DO

Use a splint. Painkillers only mask it; sprinting with a fractured leg causes damage.

05

Pain

Pain icon

Blurs the screen edges and can lead to hand tremors.

DURATION

TRIGGER

Fractures and other painful effects.

WHAT TO DO

Treat the cause; painkillers temporarily remove pain and ignore fractures.

Help! What do I use first?

  • 01

    STOP THE BLEEDING!

Heavy bleedings are the number one killer. If you are bleeding heavily, use a immediately.

  • 02

    PROTECT HEAD & THORAX

Protect your Head and Thorax: a hit that reduces either part to zero usually kills you. If bleeding reduces one to 0 HP, you may remain alive; the next damage to that part, including another bleed tick, can be fatal.

  • 03

    ELIMINATE THE PAIN

Use to stop screen sway and enable running even when heavily injured.

  • 04

    TREAT FRACTURES & SURGERY

Before surgery or using a splint, stop all active bleeding, light or heavy. It keeps draining HP during the animation and can reduce a body part to zero. Perform treatment from a safe, hidden position.

Friendly Tips

PREVENT PAIN: Use before entering dangerous areas. This way, if you get shot, you can still run.
HOTKEYS: Place your medical items on keys 4 to 9. Your should always be on the easiest hotkey!
WATER & FOOD: If you need both food and water, eat first and drink afterward: some foods reduce hydration, so water can replace what was lost. Medications and surgeries also drain hydration; carry water in your backpack.
SPECIAL SLOTS: CMS and Surv12 kits can be placed in compatible special slots on your rig. Items in these slots are not lost on death.
